Batavia man accused of DUI, child endangerment

Kendall County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Batavia man Wednesday night for driving under the influence of alcohol and endangering the life or health of a child, according to a police report.
Michael Joseph Nickels, 27, of the 37W000 block of Heritage Drive, was stopped by deputies at 11:07 p.m. at routes 30 and 47 in Bristol Township, the report said.
Nickels also was cited for speeding, operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, following too closely and littering from a vehicle, the report said.
