Childhood obesity forum

YWCA Lake County is conducting their 4th Annual Obesity Forum on “How to Prevent Early Childhood Obesity” Wednesday, July 31, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Gurnee Convention Center, 6161 West Grand Ave., Gurnee. This free forum will be conducted in English and Spanish. This event is targeted to parents and child-care providers and features topics on the causes and consequences of obesity, and offers information on how to make lifestyle changes to prevent it. Panelists include health care professionals, such as medical doctors, nutritionists, nurse consultants, physiologists, mental health specialists, gardening professionals and fitness instructors.
