Police: Woman killed in Addison domestic incident

2 others injured; no charges yet

A woman was killed in a domestic incident early Friday morning in Addison, authorities said.

Addison police responded at about 3 a.m. to reports of a domestic disturbance at a home on the 900 block of Craig Place. Two additional people were injured in the incident.

An official from the Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed Friday night that the office was in receipt of a victim's body from the Addison incident. The victim had reportedly been in critical condition at a hospital earlier in the day.

The victim's identity was not released. An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday, according to the medical examiner's office.

Neighbors said the couple who live in the home were arguing on the front lawn Thursday night, and the argument later escalated indoors, ABC 7 reported.

Earlier reports indicated that a stabbing took place during the domestic disturbance.

The woman's husband and the couple's teenage son, the oldest of the three children who live in the home, were less seriously injured, according to ABC 7.

The incident was isolated to the home, and the public is not in any danger, authorities said.

Police did not comment further other than to say the incident is currently under investigation.

No charges had been filed as of Friday night.
