Where’s the integrity in college football?

I thought I was used to hypocrites, mainly politicians, but then I heard Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly at a recent golf outing was asked by a reporter about a kid who wanted to be let out of his letter of intent, and how that compared to his leaving the University of Cincinnati a couple of days before the biggest game in school history.

Kelly said he had to protect the integrity of the system and that he paid a million dollars to be let out of contract with Cincinnati.

Does anyone believe that was Kelly’s money? And what integrity is there in college football? Coaches leave all the time, they make millions of dollars and the players make nothing.

Why didn’t Notre Dame let him coach that last game with his players? He left just days before the bowl game.
