Naperville fire remains under investigation

Naperville firefighters are investigating the cause of a Sunday night fire at a duplex that caused about $10,000 damage but no injuries, authorities said Monday.

A resident of the duplex on the 600 block of South Main Street called 911 about 11:25 p.m. to report the fire and Naperville police arrived about three minutes later to find all the residents already out of the building.

Firefighters arrived about two minutes later and had the fire under control within 10 minutes, officials said.

The home is uninhabitable pending an inspection by the city's transportation, engineering and development department, firefighters said. A member of the Naperville Fire Investigation Team was called to the scene to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.
