Aurora man sentenced to 10 years for fifth DUI

A judge has sentenced a 32-year-old Aurora man to a decade in prison for his fifth drunken driving conviction over 15 years.

The Kane County judge sentenced Paulino B. Ledezma to 10 years for aggravated DUI. In 2011, Ledezma’s Dodge Durango struck another car, sending its driver to the hospital with neck and back injuries.

Earlier this year, he pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated DUI, one count of driving with a revoked license and one count of failing to stop after an accident involving personal injury.

Ledezma’s first DUI conviction was 1997 when he was in his late teens. Combined, he was sentenced to several years in prison for DUIs in 2005 and 2007.
