Summer fun at Cantigny

“Hook”: Movie in the park, 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11. Lawn seating. Free with paid parking, $2.

Teddy Bear Picnic: Kids ages 6-8 can sit on blankets with their bears for stories, crafts and games from 1-2 p.m. July 12. Cost is $10 per child; park free. Must register.

Vintage baseball: Enjoy America’s pastime as it looked more than 100 years ago at 10 a.m. July 13 at Parade Field. Free; $5 parking.

Children’s concert: ScribbleMonster performs at 2 p.m. July 13 at the band shell. Lawn seating. Free; $5 parking.

West Suburban Symphony Orchestra: Performs Cinema Classics concert at 8 p.m. July 13 outside the First Division Museum. Cost is $12-$18.

Heartache Tonight: Eagles tribute band at 3 p.m. July 14 at the band shell. Lawn seating. Free; $5 parking.

What’s New in WWII? 1-3 p.m. July 16, First Division Museum. Kids ages 6-12 learn about scary, scandalous and sweet new inventions from the 1940s. Free; $5 parking.

Rockin’ For The Troops: Operation Support Our Troops America presents its annual daylong concert, headlined by country star Ronnie Dunn, from noon-11 p.m. July 20 at the Parade Field. The Voices and the all-veteran Kimo Williams Band also perform. Cost is $25. Limited on-site parking is $10; off-site parking with shuttle service is free. For more details, visit osotamerica.org.

Shakespeare in the Park: ‘The Comedy of Errors’ will be performed at 6 p.m. July 21 in Cantigny Gardens. Rain date is July 28. Tickets $10; parking free.

“Footloose”: Movie in the park, 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25. Lawn seating. Free with paid parking, $2.

Military Science, Rockets: 10 a.m.-noon July 26, First Division Museum. Youth ages 11-14 learn about military rockets and take home an Estes rocket. Cost is $15; parking free. Must register in advance.

Vintage Baseball: The DuPage Plowboys, Chicago Salmon, St. Louis Brown Stockings and Cantigny Red Oaks play by the rules of 1858 at noon July 27 on the Parade Field. Free; $5 parking.

Children’s concert: Little Miss Ann Band performs at 2 p.m. July 27 at the Cantigny band shell. Free; $5 parking. Lawn seating.

DuPage Symphony: Concert called “With a Gypsy Flair!” includes Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 and “Sabre Dance,” and Arutunian’s Trumpet Concerto with soloist Michael Brozick at 8 p.m. July 27, First Division Museum. Cost is $12-$18.

Beach Party: The Wave Runners perform favorites by the Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet, and more at 3 p.m. July 28. Lawn seating. Free; $5 parking.

McCormick Day: Vintage games, tours and exhibits, and a slice of birthday cake in honor of Cantigny benefactor Robert R. McCormick from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. July 30. Free.

Dog Days at Cantigny: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 3 on the Parade Field. Entertainment for all ages, plus vendor exhibits and sales. Free; $5 parking.

“Karate Kid,” Movie in the park, 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. Lawn seating. Free with paid parking, $2.
