Walgreen raises quarterly dividend to 31.5 cents

Deerfield-based Walgreen Co. said Wednesday it will raise its quarterly dividend to 31.5 cents from 27.5 cents.
The company’s next dividend is payable Sept. 12 to shareholders of record on Aug. 20.
Walgreen runs 8,098 drugstores in all 50 U.S. states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico.
