Enjoy 34th annual Lakeside Festival July 3-7

The community is welcome at the 34th annual Lakeside Festival, voted Best Festival in McHenry County for '11, '12, and '13 by Shaw Suburban Media, held on the grounds of the historic Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake, IL. July 3 through July 7, come for the carnival rides, great food, beverage tent, and live music. This annual event is Lakeside's largest fundraiser and it is put on by the talents of generous volunteers and sponsors. Community volunteers power Lakeside Fest so sign up to give back to your community by becoming a volunteer at Festival by going to LakesideLegacy.org. Volunteers receive free admission. The 2013 Lakeside Fest is on July 3-7.

Lakeside fest includes food from great local businesses like: KaleidoScoops, Georgios, Culver's, Joseph's Market, Two Tails Market & Eatery, Buena Vista and many others. Be sure not to miss out on the “Fest Favorites,” like egg rolls, italian ice, elephant ears, funnel cakes, roasted corn and fresh squeezed lemonade! Proceeds from the beverage tent drink ticket sales directly benefit Lakeside's mission, so please enjoy the Mai Tai's, Margaritas, and a fan favorite, Lakeside Lemonade, in memorabilia mugs sponsored by Icon Building Group. Lakeside Festival has great music with performances by Hi Infidelity, Modern Day Romeos, and the national headlining act Fuel to name a few.

Admission to the Midway Carnival is free of charge, with a $5 gate entrance donation to Lakeside Legacy Foundation to the taste by the lake food and beverage tents and music stages. Admission on July 4 from noon-4pm is reduced to $2. Parking is available on Country Club Road, Ringling Road, and Golf Road. Kids 12 and under, along with active military members, enter free of charge while seniors 65+ can enter for a $2 entrance donation. Parking is available on Country Club, Ringling Road, and Golf Road. On Wednesday, gates open at 4pm and close at 11pm, while on Thursday we open at noon and close at 11pm. Friday gates will open at 4pm again and close at 11pm. Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 12pm, closing at 11pm on Saturday and 10pm on Sunday. Enjoy dinner with music at Lakeside Fest while watching the fireworks at dusk on Sunday, July 7.

Family friendly activities are big at Lakeside Fest, especially on Saturday, July 6. Gates open at noon on July 6 with Kids Bike Parade, Ice Cream Eating Contest, and visits from Chicago Sports Team Mascots. Other family friendly activities include legos by Snapology, Head 2 Toe Body art doing face painting, music by Gregory B. At 2 pm on Saturday, bring a team of friends and your competitive spirit to participate in our annual Baggo Tournament. Baggo pre-registration is available at www.lakesidelegacy.org for $40. Registration on the day of the tournament is$50. The Baggo Tournament includes cash prizes, double elimination and only 32 teams, so register now at our website!

The proceeds from Lakeside Fest benefit Lakeside Legacy Arts Park and the Historic Dole Mansion, and the continuation of a vision to create a world class community arts center. The Festival proceeds ensure the preservation and protection of the 12-acre Park property. Lakeside is also home to 'the Listening Room' a 100 seat state of the art entertainment venue. This fun filled festival has a purpose, and that is to raise the funds of the foundation to continue fulfilling our mission and vision to be a community center that cultivates the arts and preserves history.
