Villarreal benefit concert to fund scholarships in Geneva teen’s memory

Submitted by Dustin Villarreal Family Memorial Scholarship

The fourth annual Dustin Villarreal Benefit Concert will rock the historic Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St. in St. Charles, at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 6. The concert will be featuring the popular Rick Lindy and the Wild Ones, and renowned Beatles cover band Cavern Beat.

Concert proceeds benefit the Dustin Villarreal Family Memorial Scholarship, established by the David Villarreal family in honor of son and brother Dustin Villarreal, who died unexpectedly of heart failure on May 5, 2006, at the age of 15 while a freshman at Geneva High School. Read Dustin’s story at www.dustinvillarrealmemorialfoundation.org.

The scholarships are presented annually to two or more outstanding Geneva High School senior athletes. The scholarships are based on academics, athletics, leadership, team cooperation, community service and character.

Tickets to the July 6 concert are $20 and can be purchased online or by emailing Dave Villarreal at dvilla9393@aol.com; or $25 at the door. Visit www.dustonvillarealmemorialfoundation.org for details.
