Two charged with theft at Addison-area teen party

Two men have been charged with stealing money, electronics and other valuables during a teen party near Addison, police said Tuesday.

Brian Vetter, 19, of the 300 block of Major Drive in Northlake, and Anthony Finn, 18, of the 200 block of Milford Lane in Bloomingdale, were arrested Monday.

Police said the men went to a June 28 party hosted by an Addison-area teen whose parents were away. After the party ended, it was discovered that cameras, laptops, money and a firearm were missing from the teen’s home.

DuPage County sheriff’s officials said detectives recovered the gun and some other valuables after identifying Vetter and Finn as suspects.

Vetter remained jailed Tuesday on $50,000 bail and faces felony charges of possession of a stolen firearm and theft, police said. Finn was charged with misdemeanor theft and released on bond.
