Blackhawks anthem singer to perform at Ribfest

Jim Cornelison, the man who has helped make the national anthem a much-see event at Chicago Blackhawks games, will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” around 4:15 p.m. July 4 at the Naperville Exchange Club’s Ribfest celebration in Knoch Park near downtown.

Organizers say Cornelison will perform on the Navistar Main Stage between the performances of Casey James and Love & Theft. The gates will open at noon July 4 and tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at www.ribfest.net.

This year’s Ribfest will run from July 3 through 7 and, as always, proceeds will help area agencies that are working to eliminate child abuse and domestic violence.

Headliners for Ribfest include Styx on July 3; Casey James and Love and Theft on July 4; Slash and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators on July 5; Rick Springfield on July 6; and Lynyrd Skynyrd on July 7.
