Book relives Blackhawks' championship season

Chicago Blackhawks fans can recall every glorious triumph and every agonizing heartache along the team's fated 2013 playoff run to becoming Stanley Cup champions thanks to the Daily Herald's commemorative book “Unstoppable!”

Print editions published by Triumphs Books are now available for $14.95 at the publisher's triumphbooks.com or by calling (800) 888-4741. Electronic editions will be available for $7.95 starting Thursday for iPads, Kindles, Nooks and other devices.

The 128-page tome includes recaps of each playoff game by the Daily Herald's legendary Blackhawks beat writer Tim Sassone as well as scores of colorful action photographs and in-depth profiles of Head Coach Joel Quenneville, Bryan Bickell, Corey Crawford, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane.

From the start, Quenneville's team dominated the lockout-shortened 2013 season. The Blackhawks then battled their way through the playoffs, dispatching the Minnesota Wild, Detroit Red Wings and defending champion Los Angeles Kings before crushing the Boston Bruins in six games to win the franchise's second Stanley Cup in four years.

The book chronicles the Blackhawks' incredible journey to the championship with unique insight, analysis and knowledge from the Daily Herald's stable of veteran sports writers and photographers.
