Lending initiative for veterans:
Lake County Partners will waive out-of-pocket loan closing fees, such as title policy, or environmental reports, up to $2,000 for businesses owned by U.S. veterans as part of a federal loan initiative. This reduces the cost of borrowing through the Small Business Administration 504 Program, which offers loans for industrial/commercial land, buildings, and equipment. In addition to a low down payment, which in most cases is 10 percent, the 504 Program provides low-interest, long-term financing.
