Dining events: Go Goulden at Meatheads

Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould has partnered with Meatheads to create the Goulden Burger: one-third pound burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, ketchapolte, American cheese and spicy Cajun fries for $6.75. Ten percent of the sales goes to Gould's charity, The Goulden Touch. Available through Aug. 31.

Meatheads has locations in Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Northbrook, Schaumburg and Willowbrook. meatheadsburgers.com.

8000 Miles now open

A new Chinese and Japanese restaurant, 8000 miles, opened this week in Roselle. Dishes include spicy chili fish, Thai basil shrimp, dried chili chicken and black peppered garlic beef. 8000 Miles is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday.

Glenview House's summer menu

Glenview House introduces its summer menu with starters such as the Hawaiian break pork sliders or ahi tuna bites; salads including the strawberry salad or lobster salad; entrees such as the lemon salmon risotto or the halibut; and desserts such as the chocolate tulip cups and the piÃ±a colada upside-down cake. Items are available for both lunch and dinner.
