Weigh in on RTA strategic plan

The Regional Transportation Authority is hosting a public hearing from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at the Grayslake village hall, 10 S. Seymour Ave., on its proposed strategic plan.

Public input will be used to guide implementation of the plan that identifies the public transit system as providing a foundation to the region’s “prosperity, livability and vitality”. The RTA provides oversight, funding and planning for the Chicago Transit Authority bus and train, Metra commuter rail and PACE suburban bus.

The agency is required by law to update its strategic plan every five years. A draft of the plan is available at www.rtachicago.org.
