Personal training education offered by Cooper Institute at Sachs Recreation Center

A Personal Training Education course designed specifically for fitness enthusiasts who enjoy helping others lead more active – and healthier – lives, is offered at Sachs Recreation Center, on Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2.

The course is packed with high quality information based on more than 40 years of research from The Cooper Institute and allows you to develop the skills and techniques needed to truly change lives. The Cooper Institute is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

Topics covered in the 33-hour Cooper Institute Personal Training Education course include the following: Fitness and Wellness; Coronary Risk Factors; Medical Screening; Exercise and Safety; Anatomy and Kinesiology; Blood Pressure and Body Composition (Skinfolds); Fitness Assessments; Exercise Physiology; Goal Setting; Exercise Guidelines; Strength and Flexibility Training; Cardiovascular Training; Nutrition; Motivational Strategies; and Business Principles for Personal Trainers.

This Personal Training Education course provides you with the knowledge base needed to sit for a certified trainer certification exam. Note: To be certified as a Personal Trainer through The Cooper Institute you must register separately for the stand-alone certification test in a testing center near you. Completion of the Personal Training Education course does not certify you to become a Personal Trainer. You must successfully complete The Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer (CI-CPT) Examination to earn the credential CI-CPT.
