Barrington choir rocked Carnegie

This is an open letter to Director Nancie Tobison, Assistant Director Bonnie Spurling and the Barrington High School Choir members.

This is a belated note before school is out, but nevertheless a heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to you and the Barrington High School Choir for the tremendous performance you all provided at Carnegie Hall in New York in April. I’ve never been so proud to listen and see this fine young and artistic group perform in that great historic venue.

You all held up a very high standard to go by for the future generations — the singing, artistry and poise came through in a wonderful way. BHS and the other choral groups from all over the U.S. made me proud to be a “Barrington-ite” and an American.

I have renewed hope for our collective future and culture. You have every right to be extremely proud of all your hard work and accomplishments — “Bravos” to each and every one!
