Bartlett man charged in Glendale Heights burglaries
A Bartlett man has been charged with breaking into three Glendale Heights homes and stealing electronics, police said Friday.
Amir Kawash, 18, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of residential burglary, according to a news release.
Between May 10 and May 23, Kawash burglarized homes on the 0-100 block of East Wrightwood Avenue, the 100 block of East Drummond Avenue, and the 0-100 block of Lincoln Avenue, police said.
Authorities said he forced his way into the houses through windows or doors and took electronics and other items, some of which were recovered upon his arrest.
The burglaries took place during daylight hours while the homes were unoccupied, police said.
Kawash was being held Friday in DuPage County jail on $100,000 bail and would have to post $10,000 to be released.
