Father-son golf clinic:
Local author Sedrik Newbern is sponsoring a father-son golf clinic from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 14 at Riverside Park, 870 Country Club Drive, Libertyville. Professionals from Studio 59 will teach basic skills. The event costs $35 and includes contests and games. Newbern is a Lindenhurst resident who works in Libertyville. His book “Unconditional Foregiveness: Lessons on Letting Go to Build Better Relationships”, released last year, is his personal story of growing up without a biological father and how he reconnected and forgave him later in life.
