Officials OK Palatine bar’s request for parking lot party
The Palatine village council has approved a request by the Mac’s on Slade bar and restaurant to host a “Party in the Parking Lot” event to attract business during construction this summer on Slade Street.
The event, which will feature live music, food and alcoholic beverages, will take place from 1 p.m. to midnight Saturday, July 20, in the back parking lot at 117 W. Slade St.
The village currently is replacing and repairing utilities, installing a new water main and storm sewer and replacing the sidewalks and roadway on Slade between Greeley and Brockway. Mac’s on Slade had the support of adjacent businesses.
