Waterleaf Restaurant Hosts Farm-to-Table Wine Dinner June 14

Waterleaf restaurant in Glen Ellyn will host a farm-to-table wine dinner featuring fresh produce from Middlebury Farms in Woodstock on Friday, June 14, expertly paired with wines from around the world.

Following a 6:30 p.m. reception, guests will enjoy a four-course, prix fixe dinner at Waterleaf at 7 p.m. featuring dishes created with organic produce and a plethora of fresh spring bounty provided directly from Middlebury Farms. The menu, prepared specially by Executive Chef Nadia Tilkian, will be paired with wines from the restaurant's 200-plus selections that will enhance the fresh abundance of the early summer vegetables featured in her special dishes.

“It is a pleasure to be partnering with Middlebury Farms,” said Jean Pierre Leroux, Waterleaf General Manager. “It is a marvelous opportunity to showcase locally grown organic produce and introduce our guests to unique wine and vegetable pairings.”

Waterleaf in Glen Ellyn features a contemporary approach to fine dining led by Chef Nadia Tilkian, who has created new spring lunch and dinner menus that highlight the use of locally-grown, seasonal ingredients. In addition, the fine-dining restaurant has earned Diner's Choice Awards for Best Ambience, Best Overall, Best Service, Fit for Foodies and Special Occasion on OpenTable.com, where it maintains a 4.6/5.0 rating.

Most recently, Waterleaf was one of just two first-year restaurants in DuPage County to receive a 2012 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. This award, given annually to restaurants in the U.S. and 65 countries worldwide, recognizes the quality of producers on Waterleaf's list, as well as the restaurant's thematic matching of wines to its menu in both price and style.
