Storms could interrupt rush hour in the suburbs

The suburbs could be in for another round of storms late this afternoon and into the evening.

According to accuweather.com, there's a 60-percent chance of precipitation late this afternoon and into the night for the area.

Scattered storms aren't expected to hit the area until after 5 p.m.

The forecast for the rest of Wednesday calls for highs in the mid 80s, with winds gusting to 22 mph at times.

More severe weather is forecast for the Great Plains Wednesday night.

AccuWeather says there's a chance the Chicago area could be in for more storms on Thursday night, with the potential for flash flooding in some areas.
