Rollover crash kills man in Aurora

A 25-year-old man is dead after crashing his BMW on 75th Street at Ogden Avenue in Aurora early Saturday morning, and authorities said alcohol may have played a role in the accident.

The one-vehicle rollover crash about 3:45 a.m. killed Andrew Kusper of the 4200 block of Home Avenue in Stickney, according to a preliminary police investigation.

Aurora police said Kusper was the driver and only occupant of a 2002 BMW sedan that was heading west on 75th Street when the crash occurred.

Kusper, who may have been driving at a high speed, apparently failed to handle a curve at Ogden, authorities said. Kusper’s car then left the road and flipped over, ejecting him.

Kusper was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where he was pronounced dead at 7:06 a.m., authorities said.

Aurora police traffic investigators are continuing to investigate the crash.
