ActivArmr 150 returning to Chicagoland track

The ARCA Racing Series’ annual visit to Chicagoland Speedway will once again be called the Ansell ActivArmr速 150.

Officials from Ansell Protective Products, the ARCA Racing Series and Chicagoland Speedway made the announcement Thursday. The Ansell ActivArmr速 150, presented by Menards, will take place on July 21 at the Joliet racecourse.

The ARCA Racing Series will be run in conjunction with the NASCAR Nationwide race, held on the same day.

“We’re excited to welcome Ansell back as an entitlement partner for a second consecutive year. This partnership truly fits hand in glove,” said Scott Paddock, Chicagoland Speedway president. “We look forward to working with Ansell to highlight their ActivArmr brand to thousands of race fans during our Rally, Rock and Race weekend this July at the Ansell ActivArmr 150.”

Ansell previously sponsored the ARCA Racing Series events at Chicagoland in 2009, 2010 and 2012. The company sponsored a race at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis in 2011.

The race will be stop No. 11 of 21 on the 2013 ARCA Racing Series schedule. For the complete series schedule, visit www.arcaracing.com.

Ansell is the Official Safety Glove of the ARCA Racing Series and is part of the Menards Pole Award presented by Ansell. Ansell also sponsors the No. 44 car of Frank Kimmel, the second-winningest driver in the ARCA Racing Series. Kimmel won his 77th all-time ARCA race at Talladega Superspeedway May 3. He is the current point leader and is in pursuit of his 10th series championship.
