Lake Forest Hospital upgrade work begins this summer

The first phase of the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital campus revitalization project will begin this summer with construction of a new entrance road to the campus from Route 41. Work will begin in mid-July and be completed by mid-November, 2013. Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and trucks will access the campus from Route 41. The new road will attach to the existing Westmoreland Road that runs along the perimeter of the campus and will be landscaped with grass until the entire facility project is completed, at which time permanent landscaping will be planted. The Lake Forest Plan Commission approved the Campus Master Use Plan last year. It named a hospital advisory committee to work closely with the hospital’s project team to provide guidance on the design of the facility and landscaping plans.
