Barrington 4th of July parade marshal named

Elaine Silets of North Barrington, an internationally recognized designer and manufacturer of model railroads and garden railways, will be the grand marshal of this year's Fourth of July Parade in Barrington.

Because of Silets' dedication to building her business in the Barrington community, as well as her commitment to education in the arts and furthering the dreams of young people, the parade committee believes she is an excellent representative of this year's parade theme: "America, Land of Hopes and Dreams -- Homegrown in Barrington."
