While birding in Knoch Knolls Park in Naperville on May 1, my wife and I heard the “cak cak” call of a Cooper’s Hawk. Looking around, we spotted the bird on a low branch of a nearby tree. I quickly shot some photos of the bird sitting in the sun. It wasn’t until I reviewed the photo afterward that I noticed it was also enjoying its lunch. Dale Kalina, from Naperville
