Lakes gets Kullby’s 100th ‘W’
Kevin Kullby netted a milestone win Tuesday.
Kullby recorded his 100th victory as Lakes’ girls soccer coach, as the Eagles blanked visiting Zion-Benton 4-0 in a North Suburban Conference crossover game.
Hannah Jewell led the way for Lakes (8-8) with a goal and 2 assists. Nicole D’Ambrose, Sarina Umlauf and Nicole Nitti also scored. Maya Schmitt and Kim Messmer also had assists for the Eagles, who led 2-0 at halftime.
Carmel 3, Fenwick 0: Meegan Johnston scored her 19th and 20th goals of the season, and the Corsairs completed a perfect run through the East Suburban Catholic Conference.
Carmel (16-1, 9-0) also got a goal from Bri Carlson and 2 assists from Kayla Handel.
Stevenson 8, Antioch 4: Savannah Kruse scored a hat trick and Emma Jager added a pair of goals for the Patriots in the North Suburban crossover.
Sarah Putwen, Ali Tarnoff and Jenna Weiner (2 assists) also scored for Stevenson (8-5-4).
Antioch fell to 9-8-1.
Warren 8, Round Lake 0: Taylor Jamil and Paige Jespersen each scored twice for the Blue Devils (9-8-3) in the North Suburban crossover.
McKenna Hofflander, Haylee Parker, Savannah Slater and Alexis Strothers also had goals. Daria Szczepanek added 2 assists. Liz Carrano earned the shutout in goal.
Grayslake North 2, Hampshire 1: Chelsea Olson had a goal and an assist for the Knights in the F ox Valley Fox Division match.
Kendall Detweiler also scored for Grayslake North (7-6-1), which hosts Grayslake Central at 4:30 p.m. today in a makeup of last week’s game that was cancelled due to lightning.
Mundelein 8, Wauconda 0: Cristy Nambo and Shannon Carroll each had 2 goals and an assist for the Mustangs in the North Suburban crossover.
McKenna Joy, Valentina Moyao (assist), Kaila Cancelli (assist) and Stephanie Johnson also scored for Mundelein (11-4-3), while Kelly Grove contributed a pair of assists. Mustangs keeper Brooke Dennis made 4 saves in recording the shutout.
