Connor Ostrander went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI for WW South (15-10, 10-6).Neuqua Valley 7, South Elgin 6:The Wildcats (20-8, 17-5) scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to claim the Upstate Eight Conference victory. Alex Wolanski went 3-for-4 with the game-winning RBI while Jeff Evak had a pair of hits. David Gerber was the winning pitcher with 2 innings of relief.Waubonsie Valley 3, Geneva 2:Complete-game winning pitcher Julian Langford scattered 5 hits and struck out six for the Warriors (14-10, 12-7) in their Upstate Eight Conference win. Drew Ellam went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles. Tyler Hasper added 2 RBI.Glenbard West 12, Proviso East 1:The Hilltoppers (11-14) notched their fifth straight win behind Dan Simoneit#146;s 3-run homer. Luke Domask, Spencer Refer and Evan Sadowski, who drove in 3 runs, each had 2 hits. Winning pitcher Dan Rustemeyer allowed only 3 hits and struck out seven.Wheaton Academy 9, Marmion 4:A 6-run third inning powered the Warriors (4-16, 3-11) to the Suburban Christian Conference victory. Peter Ferrill went 2-for-5 with a home run and 5 RBI. Jake Cousins, who had 9 strikeouts and allowed 3 hits, was the complete-game winning pitcher. IC Catholic Prep 3, Aurora Christian 2:The Knights made the most of their 5 hits in a Suburban Christian Conference victory. Danny D#146;Angelo went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored. West Aurora 3, West Chicago 2:The Wildcats (4-20, 1-15) fell in the DuPage Valley Conference despite 2-for-3 efforts from Graham Draper and Dave Kordik. Montini 7, Addison Trail 3:Ben Dobosenski and Chris Bartosz homered for the Broncos (17-4) in their nonconference victory. Chris Bevis was the winning pitcher. Timothy Christian 7, Elmwood Park 6:Winning pitcher Emerson Bandemer went 3-for-5 with an RBI as the Trojans (4-14, 4-11) won in the Metro Suburban Conference.
