Outdoor makeover contest week 2: Dreams can come true

I am sitting at the table on my patio underneath the umbrella. There is a warm breeze with the sweet smell of flowers. The candlelight flickers and the glow of garden lights softly light up the beautiful brick paved patio. It is dusk and the coals in the grill are turning red. My friends have arrived and we talk and laugh while enjoying good food and drinks. I gaze out at the patio and think to myself how lucky I am to share with the people I love a place that is comfortable, inviting, and offers ambience for entertaining. My cellphone rings, my eyes began to focus gazing at the ugly patio and I realized I just woke up from a lovely dream!

From the experts:

The existing backyard could use some work, although it does have a nice layout to it. Looks like you enjoy lounging on the patio and grilling out. I think we can come up with a few ways to enhance your out door experience and make it more enjoyable to use.

Ÿ The first suggestion I have is replacing your kettle grill with a Kamodo Joe, ceramic cooker, it is a much more versatile grill/smoker. It has a nicer look as well and a larger cooking surface, with works space on the sides.

Ÿ Replace existing adirondack chairs with bright colored ones by Seaside Casual, add an ottoman as well as couple of rocking chairs.

Ÿ Since you are trying to make this space relaxing add a fire pit. Arrange the chairs around the outside of the pit and you have a great place to enjoy drinks and entertain guests.

A fire pit will further enhance the yard to make it a place to entertain.
Can this turn into the yard of her dreams?
A Kamodo Joe ceramic cooker would make a nice substitute for the reader’s kettle grill.
