Kyuki-Do Martial Artists Rally for Earth Day Event

In what has become an annual event, students from Kim's Black Belt Academy and Kyuki-Do Martial Arts of Elgin performed an afternoon of service in honor of Earth Day at Hawthorne Hills Nature Center on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Nearly 90 students and their families removed invasive plants, cleared brush and trimmed trails showing their passion for teamwork and their desire to demonstrate leadership in the community. "Master Jeff Kim often urges us to get out into the community and lead by example." explained Master Rick Steinmaier. "We feel that in today's world, having a black belt attitude means making a difference in our neighborhoods."
