Is Obama one of the ‘rich folk’ himself?

Has this president ever made a speech or public statement where he hasn’t called for “rich folks to pay their fair share.” Since President Obama’s emergence in politics this has been his central theme.

On this subject he has never wavered. During the last presidential campaign Obama’s “rich folk/fair share” rhetoric was rabid and incessant. Mitt Romney was the target and he was painted as the worst and most vile of those rich folks because he had made a lot of money and only paid a 15 percent tax rate.

It was announced recently that the president made over $600,000 last year, a great deal more than $250,000, which is the president’s definition of rich folk and only paid 18 percent in taxes.

So all this hoopla over rich folks and fair share and it all boils down to 3 percent? You can’t be serious?

My question is: Has the president paid his fair share or is he simply trying to create phantom villains to mask the fact that he’s rich folk?
