Sowa, Warren slug past Antioch

Drake-bound Megan Sowa busted out against Antioch on Thursday, leading Warren to a 12-0 win in North Suburban Conference crossover action.

Sowa went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and 5 RBI. Amy Ricci also doubled for Warren (11-3), which stretched its winning streak to 10 games.

Lake Zurich 6, Carmel 2: Maria Schroeder went 2-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI, as the Bears improve their record to 9-5.

Lake Zurich also got 2 hits apiece from Rachel Dawson (RBI) and Maddie Minneci (2 runs, RBI). Olivia Schneider improved to 8-5, striking out eight and allowing 1 earned run in a complete-game performance.

Mundelein 3, Grant 1: Maddie Zazas’ 2-run double in the top of the sixth snapped a 1-1 tie and lifted the Mustangs to the North Suburban crossover win.

Lauren Fairweather also doubled for Mundelein (14-3), which got a complete-game 3-hitter from Erin Kennelly.

Stevenson 22, Round Lake 0: Sam Feder threw 3 perfect innings, and Lexi Yonkovic, Abby O’Connor and Morgan Manka homered for the Patriots in the North Suburban crossover.

Taylor Koenigs doubled twice, while O’Connor and Dana Morgan also had doubles for Stevenson (8-6). Yonkovic tripled and singled, as well. Koenigs (2 RBI, 4 runs) and O’Connor (6 RBI, 3 runs) also had 3 hits apiece.

Libertyville 4, Wauconda 0: The Wildcats got 2 hits apiece from Tayler Oberman, Jamie Stevens and TJ Freberg. Stevens’ 2 hits were doubles. Oberman, Andi Katz and Margaret Haws also doubled, while Haley Alban fired a 2-hitter with 8 strikeouts.

Grayslake North 3, Cary-Grove 1: Nikki Livengood pitched a 5-hitter, and Northern Illinois-bound Jordyn Bowen had 2 hits for the Knights.
