Millions of gun owners are law-abiding

Starting when I was 10 years old, my father taught gun safety and marksmanship to my older brother and me. Over the following 66 years, I’ve owned several rifles and pistols. At no time in my life have I ever misused those guns or broken the law in any other way. (Never even had as much as a parking ticket.) But the Obama administration deems me a potential threat.

The Obama administration now classifies pro-lifers, Catholics, evangelical Christians and military veterans as potential terrorists in the same category as al-Qaida and the Taliban. With proposed background checks for gun sales and transfers, I, a pro-life Catholic veteran, and millions of other law-abiding citizens would have our Second Amendment right to bear arms stripped away.
