Group gives books to Hampshire school library

At the March meeting of the Hampshire-Henpeck Unit of Home and Community Education, Hampshire Fire Protection District Chief Bill Robinson and Trevor Herrmann provided insight into the inner workings of the fire department and shared tips on fire safety.

Unit members were pleased to have community members attend the presentation.

Hampshire-Henpeck HCE members honored two deceased members, Corrine Derma and Pearl Herrmann, at the meeting.

Club treasurer Pat Lehman presented a check to Chief Robinson and the Hampshire Fire Protection District in memory of the deceased club President Corrine Derma who always appreciated the work of the fire department in the community.

Club secretary Geri Rizik and Doris Klock presented books to Patrick and Marie Herrmann in honor of deceased member, Pearl Herrmann, a longtime member of HCE.

The books will be donated to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School library.
