Roosevelt University wins Green Innovation Award

Roosevelt University is a winner of a prestigious 2013 Emerald Award, given annually by the Illinois chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council in recognition of those individuals, organizations and project judged to best advance sustainability across the state. Selected for top honors among 70 nominees, Roosevelt will receive the Green Innovation Award: Green Schools for the holistic approach the university has taken in support of environmental sustainability at both its Chicago and Schaumburg campuses. The university recently received Gold LEED certification for its new 32-story Wabash Building in Chicago’s South Loop as well as national recognition for considerable sustainability planning and initiatives at its Schaumburg campus.
