Vernon Hills’ Tran wins long jump

Lake Park Invite: At the 26th annual Lake Park Invite, Alli Tran of Vernon Hills won the long jump (16-11.5).

Lakes wins at Antioch: At the seven-team District 117 Invite, Lakes took first place with 170 points. Grayslake North finished in second place with 85 points. Mundelein and Antioch placed fifth and seventh, respectively.

Danielle Griesbaum of Lakes won both the high jump (4-feet-10) and the 800 meters (2:22.2), while sister Brittani Griesbaum won the long jump (18-feet-3.5) and the 400 meters (60.31).

Grayslake North’s Allie O’Connell won the 100 high hurdles (15.69) and the 300 low hurdles (49.69).
