Some Wheaton roads remain closed

Numerous Wheaton streets remained closed on Friday because of flooding, city officials said.

Motorists are urged to use caution and to not drive through flooded areas. The closed roadways are:

Ÿ Main Street and Roosevelt Road (southbound open)

Ÿ Main Street and Cole Avenue

Ÿ Main Street and Willow

Ÿ Delles south of Roosevelt Road

Ÿ Dorchester south of Childs

Ÿ Briarcliffe and Windsor Drive

Ÿ Gary and Harrison

Ÿ Gables and Childs

Ÿ Bristol and Bradford

Ÿ Thompson and Wadsworth

Ÿ President and Sumner

Ÿ 500 block of East Crescent and Washington

Ÿ College and Wilmette

Ÿ Illinois and Main Street

Ÿ Dorchester and Childs

Ÿ Vernon and Hickory

Ÿ Main and Parkway

Ÿ Cherry and Ranch

Ÿ Eastbound Roosevelt Road from Adare Drive to Westhaven is reduced to one lane
