Village of Lombard Declared State of Emergency Due To Flooding
The Village of Lombard has received approximately five inches of rain during the last 24 hours, which has led to flooded roads, ponds overtopping their banks and hazardous conditions. The weather forecast anticipates rain throughout the morning, which will lead to additional high water and flood conditions.
Village crews are working to minimize the impact of the storm on private and public properties. The Village is focusing its resources on property damage and emergency situations. The Village strongly encourages residents to avoid traveling, as many vehicles have been stuck in the high water.
