Park Ridge Resident Honored as Top Salesperson for USG Corporation

USG Corporation (NYSE: USG), a leading building products company, recently honored the winners of the 2012 President’s Club—USG’s elite group of top salespeople. Local resident Miya Russell was among the 34 salespeople that were selected to join USG’s President’s Club.

Over 100 people gathered at the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago from April 10-12 to celebrate the hard-earned accomplishments of these top-notch salespeople who have made exceptional contributions to the company’s growth and advancement.

“I’m shocked and very excited,” said Russell, architectural sales representative for Chicago, of receiving the award. “I have had terrific support from my manager who has challenged me and helped me grow. It feels great to be recognized for my accomplishments and hard work. When you enjoy your job, you are able to succeed.”

This is Russell’s first time receiving this honor.

Winners were selected based on the following criteria: proven success in the promotion and sales of new products, achieved and exceeded operational targets, successfully managed and grew customer relationships, and above all, demonstrated a personal commitment to excellence.

“We’re extremely proud to award Miya to this elite group,” said Chris Griffin, executive vice president of operations, USG Corporation and president, United States Gypsum Company. “Her dedication and achievements are a testament to the remarkable talent at USG and we look forward to continued success.”
