Barrington Middle School Prairie Campus presents The Little Mermaid Junior April 18 - 20 at 7:00 p.m. and April 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prairie Campus school, 40 East Dundee Road, Barrington. Disney’s The Little Mermaid Junior is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney Film and is adapted from the 2008 Broadway production. In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the fun-loving young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice. The student cast and crew are hard at work preparing a fabulous show for all ages. The students will transport the audience under the sea with colorful costumes and sets. The talented cast and crew bring the tale of The Little Mermaid to life with familiar songs and lively dances. The show features the hit songs “Part of Your World,” “Kiss the Girl,” and the Oscar-winning “Under the Sea.” Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/children. All seats are reserved.
