Thank you, voters, for showing faith

Thank you to the people of Vernon Hills for coming out, either as early voters or on last Tuesday to the polls, to cast your vote in the municipal elections.

Specifically, I want to thank you for your faith in me, in re-electing me to a third term as one of your village trustees. I wish more of the electorate would have come out, but I am taking the low turnout as an affirmation that as a whole we are doing a good job.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank each and every village employee, from the patrolmen on the street to the laborers in Public Works to the professional staff at Village Hall. Their hard work and commitment to the residents and the community at large are the real reason why I was re-elected.

They are the real faces of the Vernon Hills municipal government. Through their words and deeds, they can make any citizen’s interface either agreeable or not. From what I heard from our residents while I was out campaigning, the vast majority, find the interactions positive and successful.

So once again to these professionals, thank you.
