Judson sweeps William Penn

The Judson University softball team swept William Penn in a nonconference doubleheader Saturday, winning 7-4 and 12-2.

In Game 1, Deanna DeBoscherre (2-for-2) had 2 doubles for the Eagles, while Shannon Nevins (2 RBI) and Bri DiGiola (2 RBI) added 2 hits each. Sarah Boyer struck out 5 and walked 2 to earn the win.

In the nightcap, Maddie Smith (RBI) and Amber Mysliwiec (2-for-3, 3 RBI) each had doubles for Judson (27-9), while winning pitcher Brianna Tennyson and Allison Catlett were each 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. Tennyson struck out 3 and didn’t walk a batter in earning the win.
