Burlington Central beats Geneva

Burlington Central junior Brooke Gaylord continued her strong season Saturday, hitting a home run, going 3-for-3, and moving her season pitching record to 8-1 as the Rockets downed Geneva 6-2 in a nonconference softball game at Geneva.

Gaylord, who also had a double, walked 3, struck out 2 and allowed 1 earned run on 8 hits in a complete-game effort.

Bekah Harnish, Lauren King and Emily Kisch each added 2 hits for the Rockets (11-1).
