Free books will be given away by the Schaumburg Township District Library to all ages from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Campanelli YMCA, 300 W. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg, as part of World Book Night. There is a limit of one book per person.

World Book Night U.S. is an ambitious campaign to give thousands of free, specially printed paperbacks to light or nonreaders across America on one day. The mission of World Book Night is to seek out those without the means or access to printed books.

Bestselling authors Ann Patchett and James Patterson are this year’s honorary chairpeople of this year’s event.
