YMCA Partners with Girl Scouts for Leadership Journey

Local girls, kindergarten through fifth grade, now have the opportunity to try a variety of fun activities from the Girl Scout Journey books and learn about three important keys to leadership through a partnership between Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois and Sage YMCA. The new program will be Thursdays, April 14–June 8, 4:30–5:30 p.m. at Sage YMCA of Metro Chicago, 701 Manor Rd., in Crystal Lake. Fee is $28 for currently registered Girl Scouts; $40 for non-registered Girl Scouts and includes Girl Scout membership.

Girls will learn how to Discover, Connect, and Take Action! All activities will be age-appropriate, and all girls will receive their own Girl Scout Journey book. This program is partially funded through the generosity of the McHenry County Community Foundation.
