Oak Brook-based BridgePoint Technologies said it is partnering with Clevermind LLC in the development of the company’s latest app, Clevermind.

Clevermind is an interactive iPad application with innovative features such as speech recognition, cognitive assessment training, tracking and reporting and an easy-to-use interface

The Clevermind app provides an easier and more interactive way for people with decreased cognitive abilities to surf the Internet, manage schedules, connect with others and stay entertained independently while strengthening their cognitive proficiency. This iPad application is due for release in the Apple App Store in June 2013.

“BridgePoint Technologies is playing a strategic role in assisting Clevermind LLC with bringing the Clevermind app to market,” says Glenn Palumbo, founder and CEO of Clevermind, LLC. “In addition to managing the development process for the Clevermind app, BridgePoint’s Mobile Application Development team is also working in close collaboration with our organization to coordinate its full-scale deployment, developing a customized, effective mobility strategy based on Clevermind’s unique requirements.”

John Gavilan, vice president and CTO of BridgePoint Technologies noted it is the first time the company has built an app for personal use.

“We’ve built many different types of mobile applications for business, from simple expense reports for salespeople to secure transactional applications to our digital work order solution,” Gavilan said. This is the first time we’ve built a mobile app for personal use and to support such a worthy and needed cause.

“By utilizing the Mono development framework, our team is able to build the Clevermind app as a cross-platform application available for multiple device types in a much shorter time frame than if they were built for a single, standard operating environment one at a time,” he added.

Clevermind LLC is using Kickstarter, an online funding platform for creative projects, in order to fund its Clevermind app campaign and spread awareness about their innovative product.
