Orchard church should drop plan

I would suggest to the trustees of Orchard Evangelical Free Church to reject the notion of removing church-owned dwellings and building more parking space.

There is a sizable expense involved in the project. Housing is more valuable than parking spaces. Whatever rental income is derived from the dwellings will henceforth be eliminated.

There is adequate street parking in the area and the use of the grade school lot on Sundays. What is it about those who think no one must use two legs for any part of a trip? Isn't a little walking of benefit? Earlier times many people walked a mile or more to church.
