Hoffman truly fortunate to have McLeod
I’ve known Bill McLeod for more than 30 years. In 1983, against all odds, both Bill and I ran as independents against entrenched political machines. My margin of victory was 83 votes, his was 50. I often remind him that my “mandate” was 60 percent greater than his.
Both Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg have come a long way since then. And I’ve witnessed Bill McLeod shape and hone his community to prominence among the Northwest suburbs. So much so that the Northwest Municipal Conference, a council of 53 local governments, selected Bill as their president.
Bill’s unwavering diligence and his deep love of Hoffman Estates shines through everything he does. His vision for the future of Hoffman Estates as a corporate center, while being a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family is what I saw in him when we first met, so many years ago.
So on Tuesday, April 9, take the time to re-elect Mayor Bill McLeod. A respected municipal leader, a wonderful neighbor, and a true friend.
